I'm a news and feature writer for Installation magazine, which is about the fast-moving, innovative audio visual sector. Installation is owned by Future, one of the largest publishers of magazines in the English language. I have written a lot about technology over the years, including AV, automotive and the built environment. For a decade, I was a cricket correspondent for broadsheets and the TV channels Channel 4 and Channel 5. I'm the author of an acclaimed 200-page report about the business of cricket in the age of Twenty20. Back in 2015, I co-founded and edited the green business magazine Salt, which had famous fans like Vivienne Westwood and Tim Berners-Lee.I went to Hipperholme Grammar School, West Yorkshire, where I studied A levels in English literature (A), history (A) and ancient history (A). Following a degree in Philosophy and Psychology at Lancaster University, I taught English in Italy and France for four years and learned to speak the languages fluently. After training at Stradbroke College, in Sheffield, my first job as a journalist was at the Scunthorpe Evening Telegraph. I then moved to London.In my spare time, I enjoy playing cricket and chess.
