I am self-motivated and disciplined with an excellent eye for detail. I am a multi-skilled individual with a variety of experiences within warehousing, distribution and supply chain management spanning thirty four years. My experiences include textiles, ambient food, FMCG Distribution, GM and white/brown goods distribution. I have worked in high tech and low tech distribution centre environments.I have worked in trade union environments throughout my career with considerable success with wage negotiations and with improvements to operating agreements that benefit the customer.To date whilst working with Sainsbury’s my key achievements have been consistently delivering cost saving initiatives and improvements in operational efficiencies. In the last ten years working with Sainsbury’s, I have worked within every region and have a comprehensive understanding of logistics and supplier chains processes which has enabled me to contribute significantly to all projects/ operational developments.I have excellent people-management skills, good PC and system skills together with a good financial understanding of company and customer processes. I am a strong leader who provides clear director when looking to deliver change. I have always been committed to high standards and therefore work closely with my team to develop, mentor and motivate them to fulfil their full potential.
