His first major venture, Stuwalk Energy, a fuel distribution company, reached over $80 million in annual sales, supplying fuel to some of the largest exploration companies operating in extreme environments. This early success sharpened David’s business instincts and solidified his ability to spot and seize profitable market opportunities.Currently, David owns Caldera/Highwood, Canada’s largest privately owned distillery. Under his leadership, the company has flourished, earning multiple accolades, including the prestigious title of “Best Whisky in Canada 2023.” The distillery has also pioneered eco-friendly innovations like ecoSpirits, a move that led to winning the “Excellence in Sustainability” award at the 2024 Canadian Whisky Awards.For the past three years, David has been an active member of YPO, a global leadership community of over 35,000 chief executives.
