For more than 30 years, I have provided expert investment and trust services to individuals and businesses. I believe effective risk management is critical to long-term success; I devote energy and focus to understanding our clients’ goals and risk profiles to ensure our investment approach is tailored to their desires.I joined CAPTRUST from Covenant Multifamily Offices—a multidisciplinary financial advisory firm—where I served as a senior investment advisor. Before Covenant, I was chief investment officer of One Advocate Group, where I evaluated investment managers and funds for inclusion in client strategies. I also spent 25 years in banking, including commercial lending, private trust, estate planning, trust administration, and investments. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University.I live in San Antonio with my wife Laura. Outside of work, I enjoy tennis and golf and am a passionate but infrequent sailor. Laura and I are active members of Christ Episcopal Church and are the parents of two grown daughters. We also travel when we can.
