With a drive for greater responsibility I left SSE for IQA Group. The role involves new building of OHL; erecting wood poles and maintenance of OHL. We work on both the MV and HV network ranging from 400v to 400kV.My responsibilities include: maintenance and refurbishment of existing overhead lines; fault finding and repair; completion of test.

I left the Army after 6 years of service having been offered employment within SSE as an overhead linesman. I am involved in all aspects of construction and maintenance on the low voltage and high voltage distribution network and have also completed my City and Guilds 2339-17. My responsibilities include: rigging and slinging of plant and equipment.
