Bespoke Tailor
CurrentThroughout his career on Savile Row, David has worked and trained with some of the most influential and respected individuals within the yardage of this incredible street affectionately known as the "The Row". David began work at Timothy Everest and made a mark for himself as the house undercutter. He was soon snapped up by Henry Poole & Co and his subsequent career will testify to him being headhunted by the most prominent houses on Savile Row that included Henry Poole, Norton & Sons and Huntsman. Savile Row has been impacted as corporate brands with corporate ideas jostle to wear the moniker of the “Savile Row Tailor”, with neither qualification or skill to honour that title. Ward is a young authentic Savile Row cutter who can evidence all of the above. An individual who possesses the skill and knowledge of the old and awareness of the new is a refreshing sight upon a street who's heritage has diminished significantly. David made his very first excursion on Savile Row as the "tea boy" at Norton & Sons some 20 years ago whilst studying for his degree. Submersed into a world of exquisite craftsmanship, David was exposed to the most minuscule of amendments to create the world’s best suits. David is unrivalled throughout the industry, an individual who can mix tradition with modernity and communicate it through the conduit of exceptional cutting and detail. David's client list includes rockstars, actors, entrepreneurs and hedge fund managers who have a passion for the world’s best bespoke tailoring. David’s ability to translate the traditional values of Savile Row tailoring into the arena of contemporary design has enabled him to consult with some of the most progressive designers of our time. David has worked more notably with Christopher Kane, Henry Holland, Kim Jones Nike and The Kooples. David was also the personal Savile Row cutter to Alexander McQueen.
