My Key Contributions for this role: Held numerous positions throughout the plant, and was heavily involved leading the transition from industrial gelatin facility to a pharmaceutical quality manufacturing site, with a hands-on approach to process upgrades and new project installations.Responsible for annual CAPEX budget of $4-5M, including scope definition & project design, budget cost & schedule, financial approval & oversite, specification & procurement, managing construction, startup & turn over.Managed complete lifecycle of @40 CAPEX projects, with 6 to 8 simultaneous projects annually worth between $150K and $3M from initial design to installation, on time and within budget. - Designed and installed expanded condensate reuse system, collecting additional 140K gallons daily, annually saving $283K in avoided sewer costs and $120K in reduced natural gas usage through thermal exchange system - Spearheaded two Waste Water projects each worth $2.8M, all while maintaining 1.6M gallons daily outflow and 30 tons daily solids disposal. The WWTF centrifuge project annual savings exceeded $200K in chemicals and $300K in solids disposal, and freeing up 8 hours of operator’s time daily Managed steam producing power plant with turbine generator and waste water treatment facility with a total of 14 employees, resurrecting past good practices and implementing new quality standards. Oversaw and guided 4 plant process engineers and R&D technician with a keen focus on enhancing productivity.Managed and guided maintenance department of 13 employees through transition to new CMMS system - Executed and streamlined new JD Edwards maintenance module throughout plant for all work orders and PMs, capturing and documenting maintenance work activities and mechanics labor hours - Expanded plant asset tags in CMMS tenfold, and implemented preventative maintenance throughout plant - Designed and developed database to share plant-wide open and completed work orders
