Systems Analyst
CurrentI have worked in the education sector since 1987 and have acquired a detailed understanding of education policies within the Northern Ireland Education Service.As a Systems Analyst I have been involved in the implementation, support and technical management of the C2k system. During this time, I have assumed responsibility for the technical integrity, management, security and support of school C2k systems within the North Eastern Education and Library Board. I act as technical adviser for the North Eastern C2k team and work with Systems Analysts from other C2k teams and the Central Support Team on co-ordinating the technical implementation of C2k.My responsibilities include liaising with school users particularly with schools Senior Management Teams, other C2k colleagues, education providers, suppliers and contractors to ensure that the C2k system meets the technical requirements of its school users within strict deadlines and that a quality, efficient and responsive technical support and advisory service is offered to them.I manage and participate in the delivery of ICT support services and provide ICT consultancy and advice to Senior Management in schools.I am responsible for managing the process of ensuring the ongoing technical feasibility and acceptability for a range of C2k services to be delivered through the C2k contracts. This includes the need to ensure effective integration across the constituent parts of the system as well as integration with other Board and Department of Education systems to achieve a seamless transfer of data.
