Senior Director - Project Finance is responsible for managing, coordinating and securing project financing and tax equity for projects. Im currently the lead facilitator and conduit for matters related to the financing process of projects across North America. This role includes review of new project development opportunities and emerging structure alternatives to determine optimal financing structures, along with capital investment sources. I ensure information flow from and to the Project Finance group with Asset Management, Power Marketing, Implementation, Land and Title, and all support groups, both internal and external.

Responsible for managing and coordinating project financing for projects across North America, serving as the lead facilitator and conduit for all matters related to financing. The role includes reviewing new project development opportunities and recommends/determines financing structures and capital investment sources while ensuring information flows from and to the Project Finance group with internal and external stakeholders.

Overseeing contract negotiation, execution, schedule and budget to safely deliver the 577 MWac Fox Squirrel Solar project in Madison County Ohio. Once fully commissioned in late 2024, Fox Squirrel will be one of the largest PV facilities in North America, delivering power to nearly 130,000 households annually. The project is expected to provide roughly ~300-400 construction jobs and generate more than $5,000,000 in annual tax revenues for local taxing districts.

In collaboration with senior management and other team members, work on development and implementation of the regional strategy across all phases of business development with a keen focus on capital deployment. Develop winning solutions to capture new business and expand customer base within the region, including market and customer analysis, technology optimization, energy solutions, strategy development and execution, and proposal development.Oversee day-to-day activities related to progressing development projects and/or initiatives in line with the regional development strategy.Work with corporate and regional team members to develop long term energy forecasts, regulatory policies, new technologies, transmission assumptions, unique technology solutions, customer capture plans, business plans, presentations to C-Suite, proposal planning and staffing, and technical, oral and cost proposal execution.Develop integrated financial budgets including financial analysis and written comments for proposed projects.

Focused on development and origination of solar, wind and storage opportunities through greenfield and acquisitions across the Canadian and NE US markets. Responsible for identifying and securing new off-take, evaluating project acquisition and investment opportunities and working alongside members of the development team to build our project portfolio.

Managing the development of greenfield and acquisition assets, primarily in Western Canada.Organizing and overseeing permitting, stakeholder relations and Indigenous relationships across our portfolio.

Developer responsible for more than 600MW of wind assets in British Columbia, overseeing for all aspects of project budgeting, permitting and consultation to ensure projects are in compliance with BC regulations.Primary interface between EDF EN Canada and all British Columbia First Nations and stakeholders; negotiating MOU and IBA agreements which are equitable and balance impact benefit with project economics.Organize and lead meetings to present projects and the strength of EDF EN Canada to various stakeholders including Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, landowners and First Nations.Continually work with all functional groups within EDF EN Canada to supply and correlate information from engineering, resource assessment, finance, tax, construction, insurance, procurement, policy and permitting to ensure sound decision-making optimizes our portfolio for success.Report to senior management in due diligence reviews of potential acquisitions, organizing internal and external teams to efficiently evaluate opportunities and recommend next steps.Manage consultants to ensure project issues and concerns are resolved in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.Find and implement greenfield opportunities in new regions across Canada.Compose text for external correspondence related to press releases, open house materials, newsletters and project websites.
