Variety of languages, mainly ruby on rails, but also python and one VB. Deployment environment technologies included docker, eks and beanstalk.Developed public facing Covid registration and reporting system, utilizing native AWS services, HIPAA compliant in two weeks.

Led the Metrics and Continuous Compliance team, utilising the Elk stack (Logstash, Elastic, Kibana) to provide real time development metrics across 500 applications’ development pipeline. Nothing like this has been done before and the project is resulting in greater transparency to management and dev teams regarding security compliance, code quality, devops adoption and development activity.Led a DevOps team responsible for a pipeline that built and deployed of a 27 component application (Java, Oracle, RPM, GreenPlum and Datastage) into QA (Functional and Performance), reduced deployment time from 2 business days to under 2 hours. Continued to work with the onboarding of multiple versions of the same application for other worldwide geographic locations.Led the internal team for DTCC’s first cloud native AWS application, using Beanstalk, S3, RDS, Lamba, Java and React. Including development of self provisioning CI / CD pipeline providing 100% Jenkins deployment from Dev to Prod. Project went from kickoff to UAT in 6 months, a timescale unheard of at the time. Created a working implementation of a derivatives ingestion pipeline using AWS Kinesis, Beanstalk and S3 to prove feasibility and build a costing model for an application to process 20 million transactions a day. The costing model we extrapolated from this implementation was the basis of a proposal that was submitted to the board.

Soltra was a startup to create and promote a platform where financial institutions can share threat intelligence in near real time, into systems that can instantly act on it.The core of the system was industry standard Stix and Cybox XML formats from Mitre. Threat intel was received, created, edited, viewed and shared in these formats which formed the backbone of the system.I led the development team of five responsible for the gui portion of the application, utilizing Python, Django, MongoDB, Javascript and Knockout. The project utilized many aspects of agile from the time (DefOfDone, Retro, Unit Tests, Story Points, Sprint Planning).

The company develops and maintains a suite of Salon management / POS software used by all sizes of organisations in the Salon/Spa industry. I joined the company as a Senior Developer and through promotions rose to Development Director, where I reported directly to the president and managed all development and system based activities within the company.The core product is a distributed software system, running in over 10,000 locations world wide with data feeds to a central data warehouse for cross store reporting and management. All components are developed in PHP and MySQL, with the exception of the mobile application for droid + iPhone. Mivan had a design team of 12 designers who designed formwork layouts in a 2D Autocad environment. The decision was made by the company to invest in 3D technology and MicroStation was chosen as the platform. Mivan also decided to experiment with automation to reduce task repetition and speed up design process.Designed and developed an automated System formwork design suite in MDL.
