Managing incoming goods and warehouse and dispatch of chemical products used in the ingredients and flavouring industry. Maintenance of stores area for consumables and reordering and stock take of area.Working to tight OTIF KPI's, shipping hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals world wide and within the UK via road, sea and air. Working with SAP to manage orders, inventory accuracy, stock transfers etc. Use of visual management tools via QDIP board to drive continuous improvement within the dispatch area and improve LEAN methodology. Man management of absence and holidays for team via ACTIN TIME. Management of quality complaints via QPULSE and root cause analysis and corrective and preventative actions from investigation. Adherence to quality standards for external audits (ISO, BSI).

Responsibilities included managing a purchasing and dispatch team and customer care team which dealt with incoming goods and finished products. Daily communication of customer demands to Operations team. Export / import compliance – certified with CT-PAT audit for export into USA, dealing with chambers of commerce (e-cert online for certificates of origin).Goal setting to execute the necessary short, medium and strategic plans in the warehouse department.Ensuring company quality standards (ISO, FDA etc.) where adhered too, departmental KPI’s attained and that stock was accurate and correct (3 million dollars’ worth).Use of inventory management system (SAP) for reports, sales order process, stock take, lot tracking from placing raw material orders to end user accounts. Experienced in 6 SIMGA, recruitment, training, disciplinary procedures and appraisals (360 and one to one). Due to the large monetary value of the stock and shelf-life times, stock control and rotation of a large range of products was key area of focus.
