Having retired after almost 42 years service with NatWest I now have the opportunity of following some of the interests for which I previously did not have sufficient time. I also devote time to the voluntary sector for Farleigh Hospice for whom I do a variety of work but which started by distributing, and find new outlets for, publicity material for their major fundraising events around the local area. I also help at those events and also spend most Fridays working in the Hospice building itself. I do this as a way of repaying their kindness in caring for my late wife in the three and a half years before her death and for the help given to myself and my family in the succeeding months.I relax by researching the family tree which at the last count numbered over 33,000 people.
