Provide leadership for pharmacy operations in a multi-facility organization including Strong Memorial Hospital, Sawgrass Surgical Center, Strong West, Bailey Road Compounding Center and Bellwood Consolidated Services Center (Oncology). Manage resources for the hospital and affiliated clinics with a focus on patient safety, improving efficiencies, and financial stability. Responsible for oversight of the pharmacy budget, including active participation in developing and implementing cost savings and operational/clinical initiatives. Served as Program Director for the launch of a new ASHP Technician Training Program. The program is a 12 week extensive training curriculum with didactic on-line modules, simulation labs, and experiential on-site training in both acute and ambulatory care settings. As part of this position, we applied for ASHP accreditation, completed a program survey, and received maximum (6 year) accreditation for the program. The plan to transfer the Program Director duties to our primary instructor/coordinator follow accreditation was accomplished in October 2021.
