During my time in the various jobs, I learned that it is often hard or awkward for some departments to work together effectively, and sometimes it is hard for some departments to work effectively with other companies on collaborative efforts. I found I quite enjoy the experience of communicating to different parts of the team, and "translate" what they want the other parts to do and know, and what they can do for other parts of the team. Often a lot of issues are resolved quickly and easily when everyone in the team can communicate effectively.I have also found the cause of several defects in my previous job's product, and successfully convince the R&D department to change the specs of some parts. Such defects never showed up again after the engineering change. Similar issue also happened when I was running Acoustic-Fun, where a to-be-released amplifier exhibits intolerable amount of humming noise. With some change, removal of the offending part, the amplifier became one of the quietest on the market at the time.I also often face customer with problems using our products, and often I can help them resolve it easily. In cases where I could not resolve the issue, I always make sure the engineers receive the question in a concise and easy to read manner, making sure that we would not be wasting time going back and forth on basic information. Thus I was sometimes sent to customers' location if complex issue arise that need someone to assist customer on-location.
