I was responsible for a global team of over 350 people in offices in London, Warsaw, Sydney, Singapore, Miami, Mexico City and Delhi, delivering over 29 Channels brands to almost 400 million homes across the world. I sat on BBC WW’s Executive Board.

I managed a global programming, creative and operations budget of £65m. The channels regularly featured within the top 10 pay TV channels in their respective markets and the Creative team has won over 125 Promax Awards. In 2011/12 I introduced a commissioning strategy that has already delivered successful new IP for the Channels group.

A radical restructure, this represented a significant investment in the BBC’s international channels. It included the new brands of: BBC Entertainment, BBC Lifestyle, BBC Knowledge, CBeebies and BBC HD. The first launches took place just 6 months after I joined in Asia, for BBC Entertainment and in May 2007 in India for BBC Entertainment & CBeebies. A further 22 Channel launches followed over the next 30 months in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Scandinavia. I have also been responsible for a radical re-structure of the BBC America channel in June 2007.
