Planned and managed 4” to 6” wafer line conversion for Beaverton, Or Implant and RTP areas. Evaluated RTP systems for process transfer of silicide production from furnace to RTP, and high energy ion implanter solutions for R&D of new processes. Installed and brought into production the resultant systems. ( 4 AST2800 RTP tools, the first “ship from cell” Axcelis GSD-HE ion implanter, 4 AMAT 9500xR/xR200 and 1 Varian 350D ion implanters ). Directed onsite OEM engineers and a staff of 12 technicians, set quarterly goals and wrote performance reviews. Project Manager / Capital Equipment Projects responsibilities included equipment capability and compatibility evaluation, location of used equipment, installation planning / tracking, budgeting, purchasing negotiation, shipping and crating logistics for tools at all Maxim facilities, as well as installation project management of implanters and RTP tools at the Maxim, OR and CA facilities.
