Provided strategic and economic analysis to a Part D Medicare Prescription Drug Plan PDP) in its formative stages. Helped developed network contracts and led business efforts to launch the plan’s Medication Therapy Management program including software specifications, training materials for pharmacists, pharmacy workflow studies, hiring of technical team and contracting with pharmacist overflow call center. Developed pricing model for the WebVisit (online patient-physician consults) and led initial pilot in partnership with Blue Shield of California.

Identified new and emerging marketplace, grew business with initial seed money of $225,000 to become leading provider of electronic prescription authorizations in the U.S. at that time processing a run rate of 3,000,000 prescription authorizations annually. Led rollout at Kaiser Permanente where E-Script realized a 99% adoption rate, and considered to be the most successful IT implementation at Kaiser at that time. Personally trained over 500 physicians on the software. Led efforts to secure two additional rounds of financing. Negotiated and managed all aspects of Company merger with Healinx Corporation (now RelayHealth) in 2000.
