Strategy can be described as the process that defines how we assess, view and create the future of a business or project. For more than 10 years, I have participated in strategic thinking and planning on varying scopes and settings.My diverse experience and my two engineering degrees have honed my ability to proactively anticipate needs and obstacles while creating complex plans to achieve short-term goals and long-term objectives.I am a United States Navy officer veteran. Before I transitioned out of the Navy in 2006, I was managing the program strategy of how to execute and enforce the U.S. Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty with the former Soviet Union. Earlier in my career, I strategically navigated and directed several Navy vessels. After separating from the Navy, from 2006 to 2010, I worked for a defense contractor whose sole purpose was to analyze military and homeland defense strategy in support of top-level Pentagon decision makers. Due to my experience and knowledge as a veteran, I worked on creating the strategic force shaping plan for the U.S. Navy.When I relocated to Arizona in 2010, I leveraged my project and program management knowledge with my energy production experience from the Navy and successfully took on a role working with an engineering firm that supports nuclear energy production projects at APS / Pinnacle West. In this role, I participate in project management across the entire project lifecycle and play a role in business development and customer relationship management efforts. As a project leader/team member, I bring an effective balance of analytical evaluation of facts and visionary, forward-looking planning skills. I have interfaced with people of all cultures and backgrounds as well as all organizational levels, from C-level executives to high-ranking government officials.
