I am current the Controls Product Specialist for Airefco. My focus is helping build Carrier's Controls Expert Program to support growth of building automation. I am currently CS, IS, and ES certified through Carrier Controls Expert program, and provide support to engineers and technicians on the application of building automation products. Custom programming and third party integration are often more complex than standard VAV/VVT systems, but all designs have the goal of occupant safety, comfort, and building energy efficiency.Combining test and measurement, computer technology, and HVAC/R science in one role is truly exciting. Bringing these together in one role is an excellent fit for me, and I'm feel lucky to be doing something I enjoy.

The Wash Tub is a self-service coin operated laundromat. I utilize ownership of this business to help test and evaluate tools for my primary job. This experience has also given me knowledge relative to business operations, leasing, insurance, and direct customer support.My main role is to provide the best customer service possible, perform maintenance and repair of equipment, and to assist with general operations and advertising.Owning this business has also given me a real-world opportunity to test and evaluate tools needed by customers of UEi, and now Airefco. The business has a roof-top package unit, boiler, gas supplied appliances, and multiple electrical items. I plan on adding an automation system to the HVAC, with an economizer to take advantage of the cooler weather in our area where outdoor air could be used in place of mechanical cooling. Hopefully I'll save a bit of money in the process.

I currently try to match solutions to problems, at the most cost effective and beneficial level possible. The products include environmental test and measurement instruments for combustion analysis, temperature, relative humidity, carbon monoxide, and others. Working with various staff and partners, I manage the product portfolio of UEi. We are primarily focused on HVAC/R technician needs, but I also work with our partner Klein Tools for the electrical market.I have various roles at UEi, supporting our Sales and Marketing, Technical Support, and other staff as needed.
