Prior major projects include Nexpose, a vulnerability management system, and ICODES, a tool for military load planning.My main development languages include Java and Scala. During my Fullstack days I dabbled with Javascript and React. I have worked extensively with Postgres, and also have experience with document-based data stores like DynamoDB. I have experience deploying applications to AWS Cloud Services (e.g. EC2 Containers Lambda, S3, Aurora PG, and DynamoDB).My primary interests involve crafting systems to reveal insights from complex systems. This has taken the form of reporting frameworks such as templated reports such as JasperReports. Sometimes it's active insights such as dispatching emails or SNS messages with activity updates. It often involves a data pipeline like designing a data model to optimize the data storage and retrieval speeds, and transforming data from a raw data source.
