Lord's Gym is youth ministry/fitness gym. During my time with that company I have signed up people for gym memberships, cashier, maintenance, fundraiser, security, and of course ministered and counseled young people. This job was a way for me to get in touch with my community and provide recreational activities and a safe haven for children between ages of 12-19.

Elk Grove

Primary responsibility is child safety and supervision.• Additional duties include building parent relationships, implementing assigned curriculum activities, taking on program leadership opportunities to enhance the program, and developing each child's self esteem.• Year round position includes Winter, Spring and Summer Day Camp programs.• Promote a positive environment that fosters fun, safety and our YMCA values.• Treat every participant fairly and equally regardless of circumstances and abilities, making each feel good about themselves and encouraging a fun environment.• Accentuate positive attributes nurturing the whole; physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. Give praise for effort.• Encourage member and parent involvement and identify potential volunteers.• Maintain good public relations with members and always represent the best interests of the YMCA.• Greet parents daily and inform them of all program changes. Communicate frequently with parents concerning their child's behavior and socialization in the program. Maintain positive relations with parents and other staff.• Arrive with ample time to report to position at the scheduled time.• Be responsible and fulfill your commitments to scheduled shifts. Notify a supervisor personally and in a timely manner if you are unable to meet your commitment. This includes illness and extenuating circumstances.• Follow the guidelines, procedures and policies, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies, in the YMCA Staff and Parent Handbooks, and Association Staff Handbook. Complete all required forms daily.• Attend all scheduled staff meetings and training events.• Assume other responsibilities as mutually agreed upon with a supervisor.
