  After graduating from Southampton University with an Honours Degree in Politics, David joined British Leyland at their Longbridge Plant where he held a variety of personnel posts before becoming a Senior Industrial Relations Officer.Subsequently, David joined GKN as HR Manager responsible for two Midland based manufacturing units.
