I'm an Associate Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and a research economist there. I use data-and computationally-intensive, quantitative methods to study labor markets and monetary policy. My particular interests are in labor market transitions, earnings growth and how this interacts with fiscal and monetary policies. I have held positions at the Federal Reserve Banks of St Louis and Minneapolis before this and as a tenured Associate Professor at Stony Brook University.My academic research has been widely published and I am an Associate Editor at the European Economic Review and a Fellow at the IZA.
