I created a Java package that implemented portions of Amazon's TransferManager (perform parallel Amazon Simple Storage Service operations). My software created disjoint input and output stream multiplexers run in parallel by an ExecutorService to upload and download files from S3. After hundreds of hours of testing, I showed that my software ran 30.6% faster than equivalent Amazon code. In addition, my team discovered that S3 was prioritizing SSL/TLS traffic over HTTP.

I created a WebApp deployed as a Bookmarklet (JS code in a Bookmark) to dynamically inject NASA mission data into Wikipedia pages. It was a great project to learn about web development on.
