(Retired in 2024) I currently serve as Development Director at Bay Area Community Resources (BACR), a regional nonprofit agency providing a range of youth development, national service, mental health, and prevention programs in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. I have more than 30 years of experience in program planning and development for nonprofit and public agencies. Since 1987, I have written foundation and government grant proposals, raising more than $60 million in funding. My main specialty is writing. In addition to writing grant proposals, I have produced and edited a variety of professional and feature publications, including newsletters, annual reports, annual appeal letters, technical manuals, policy statements, and strategic planning documents. I also co-authored the government publication, Work Stress and Physical Fitness Levels of Park Rangers of Yosemite National Park, wrote three novels and a memoir including the recently released Return to Ithaca: Surviving a Son's Suicide, and published feature articles, including for the Golden State Warriors Playbook magazine.Specialties: --Grant writing;--Program planning and development;--Feature writing;--Copy writing and editing.
