David Wild, 66, is a retired healthcare industry professional, with experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and diagnostics. He worked for the UKAEA, GD Searle, Amersham, Eastman-Kodak, Johnson & Johnson, Bristol-Myers Squibb and ConvaTec, and consulted for diagnostics and biotechnology companies. He managed product development programs and the design and construction of new chemical and biotech facilities. He also managed a company acquired for $150m. Director level positions include Research and Development, Design Engineering, Global Operations, and Global Manufacturing Strategy. He retired from full-time employment in 2012 to focus on his role as the Editor of The Immunoassay Handbook. The 4th edition was published in February, 2013.
