- Develop integrated watershed management approaches to improve water and sanitation services and climate resilience, including scaled-up innovative solutions to reduce the gaps in rural and peri-urban services.- Contribute innovative financial mechanisms that incorporate long-term economic, social, environmental and climate benefits at a regional, national and local level.- Provide expert advisory services in proposal preparation in response to international finance tenders under USAID, Green Climate Funds, IKI-Germany and other climate facilities. - Contribute analytical work and technical guidance on the design and use of climate resilient technologies, GHG methodologies and climate adaptation measures. - Facilitate the engagement with critical stakeholders in government, private sector and civil society for the adoption of climate resilient programs.

- Led the Climate Change and Sustainability Division, managing 52 professionals across IDB Headquarters and Country Offices with an active portfolio of 86 technical co-operations valued at US$106.5 million. Key achievements included the expansion of IDB’s portfolio through mainstreaming climate mitigation and adaptation activities in IDB investment sectors. - Led the IDB’s support to LAC countries in their preparation towards the Climate Paris Agreement at COP 21.- Built innovative programs at the intersection of development, water and sanitation and climate resilience. - Contributed to the early mobilization of global climate funds, through the establishment of IDB's SECCI Funds and the deployment of concessional lending through global climate funds, including the Climate Investment Fund (CIF) and the early stages of the Green Climate Funds (GCF).- Established strategic alliances and collaboration agreements with LAC governments, MDBs, global partners and private sector, expanding the Bank´s financial standing internationally. - Led the team in charge of preparing three key strategic documents and their operationalization: Environment Strategy, Environmental Policy and its Guidelines, and the Climate Change Strategy and its Action Plan.- Managed the preparation and execution of loan operations in the area of climate change and water and sanitation, in close collaboration with four other sectors in the Bank: Urban Development, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Disaster Risk Management and Sustainable Energy. - Led the development of a large portfolio of technical co-operations, analytical work and knowledge products in areas related to environment, water innovations and climate resilience.

- Implemented city, regional and environmental planning contracts throughout Latin American, including strategic, urban management and land use/ecological plans.- Developed environmental impact assessments of large infrastructure projects, GIS and remote sensing and watershed management.- Carried out international consultancies for the World Bank, IADB and OECD.

- Led the Institute's research and training agenda for Mexico and Latin America.- Developed curricula and training sessions on the application of GIS methodologies in urban growth and environmental management.
