As the Drawing Office Manager at MSC Consulting Group, I have lead a team of up to 18 structural draughtspeople including contractors with diverse levels of experience and backgrounds. I have been working in the New Zealand building and construction industry for over 25 years, starting as a structural steel fabrication detailer working closely with Steel Fabricators, and progressing to the structural engineering consultancy side of the industry.My core competencies include Operations Management including Strategic Growth staff acquisition, training and mentoring, Revit and CAD customization, performance evaluation and quality assurance. I have facilitated the transition from an AutoCAD based to a Revit based drawing office, and establishing Revit procedures and protocols for consistent output and efficiency. I have implemented the use of Dynamo Visual programing software to automate many Revit processes.In this role I also collaborate with other senior staff to plan and coordinate projects to deliver a quality product on time, every time.I was the Lead Structural Designer on the first project where Beca Architects, Beca Commercial Structures and Beca Building Serrvices used Revit for collaboration on a complex Data Centre. My goal is to leverage my skills and experience to deliver high-quality results while facilitating the growth of my team.
