For the past 10 years, as the Director of Logistics (DOL), Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center (CSJFTC), I managed over 400 civilian and military personnel to provide a full range of logistical support to units and individuals deploying and redeploying through Camp Shelby, MS. Managed an annual budget in excess of $35M. Managed storage and distribution of food, uniforms, individual equipment, fuel, ammunition, unit equipment, weapon systems, and repair parts. Managed maintenance operations that inspected, repaired and maintained equipment used by units for training and deployment to overseas theaters. Managed transportation of units, both personnel and equipment, from their home stations to Camp Shelby and from Camp Shelby to their air or sea ports of embarkation. Movements were through bus, air, truck, rail and ship. Managed and coordinated acquisition and procurement of all supplies and services needed to support the installation and units. Coordinated with numerous other military commands, government agencies and activities to provide seamless, uninterrupted logistical support to the deploying forces.
