• To lead the Applications group in defining an Applications roadmap which identifies and develops analytical chemistry techniques that are pertinent to MR’s portfolio of new and existing products• To ensure company-wide buy-in to the Applications roadmap by working with all functions to establish that they are achievable and consistent with business objectives• To define and drive to closure individual Applications projects• To assist in the development of MR’s products • To ensure that applications offered for sale are complete, robust, documented, fulfil customer requirements and comply with appropriate health & safety and good laboratory practice protocols• To manage the generation of sales support material for applications including application notes and method sheets• To be aware of alternative and competing measurement methods and to be able to provide arguments in favour of our products• To be the point of contact for external and internal customers for technical queries on the development of applications for MR Products• To be an internal Voice of the Customer, providing feedback and input to Development on the customer experience of using MR products• To manage MR’s participation in external bodies and committees such as AOCS, ASTM and Campden Food Research to ensure that we are aware of market opportunities and that such industry bodies are aware of our products• To prepare and present technical papers and presentations at appropriate meetings and in appropriate media• To provide interactive training for colleagues, customers and distributors via a variety of media including webinars and workshops
