In my role at Fujifilm my main responsibilities are the safe and efficient operation of local plant process equipment used to manufacture printer inks. Monitoring the plant from the central control room I ensure any faults or inefficiencies are diagnosed and rectified quickly.Controlling multiple processes simultaneously by safely operating Siemens PCS7 computer systems from control room and manually operated plant through all stages of manufacture.Monitoring and adjusting production processes or equipment for quality and productivity including analysis of in process production samples to confirm product quality.Carry out routine testing on plant safety systems including alarms and trips testing for compliance involving liaison with mechanical and electrical personnel.Issuing plant clearance to allow breakdown and maintenance work to be carried out.Completion of process paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.Preparing detailed handover logs and give a thorough briefing during shift handover periods.Work safely to meet and exceed site HSE standards.Contribute to all aspects of plant continuous improvement.Keep knowledge and competencies up to date to allow safe and efficient plant operation.Conduct plant inductions.

Upon Completion of Schlumberger Drilling Operations School in October 2014 I started cross training as a Directional Driller. My role required me to perform duties as a senior LWD hand or a Trainee Directional Driller as required.

In October 2014 after Schlumberger merged with Smith I moved to Schlumberger D&M in Kenya. I was a Senior LWD engineer responsible for training local engineers while running LWD operations Directional/Gamma/Resistivity/Downhole Pressure on site. Many of the wells drilled were vertical. On these wells I would also act up and assume the duties of the Directional Driller.

With my time as a Pathfinder LWD Engineer I worked in many different environments on a diverse range of projects. The beginning of my career was spent solely in the North Sea working on Platform, Jack up and Semi-Submersible rigs. During this time Smith acquired Pathfinder. Since then I was involved in drilling in many locations from Australia to the Falkland Islands, including deep water(2000m) and under balanced drilling. During this time I progressed through the Engineer grading system form a trainee MWD Engineer to a Senior LWD Engineer. Capable of being Lead onsite engineer for a Directional/Gamma/Resistivity/Downhole-Pressure/DNSC suite of LWD Tools.
