The company director David Willows has a background in the assessment of damaged structures, landslide risk management, investigation of ground conditions, civil construction, monitoring and peer review. David has prepared expert witness reports for use in civil litigation, attended expert conclaves and has given evidence under cross-examination in the District Court.David is qualified in civil engineering and during his career has continued to study in the fields of geology and gain experience in excavations, soil mechanics, slope stability, landslide risk management, geotechnical investigations and construction.David is a member of the Engineers Australia Civil & Structural Panel (Sydney Division) and a Board member of CIRCEA (College of Investigative, Remedial and Consulting Engineers of Australia). David uses a systematic approach to data interpretation and document review. David has a reputation for his ability to communicate with clients from technical and non-technical backgrounds. He takes a geotechnical perspective on consulting and collaborates as a team player with other engineers and professionals for complex forensic engineering matters.In 2007, David was recognised by Engineers Australia as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and is on the National Engineers Register (NER). In 2018, David completed a course by the Roads and Maritime Service as an Accredited Slope Stability Assessor for the inspection and risk assessment of road cuttings and embankments, using RMS Slope Risk Analysis Version 4.David is conversant with the Landslide Risk Management guidelines published by the Australian Geomechanics Society and regularly provides advice and development peer review on slope stability matters, geotechnical hazards, management of landslide risks and remediation / stabilisation works.
