The Virality of Racial Terror project seeks to look at newspaper distribution, networks, and content to look at how racist ideology spreads centering on lynchings, mass killings, and progroms. The use of digital humanities methods are utilized, specifically Geospatial Information Systems and Computational Text Analysis.

As a Humanities Digital Workshop fellow, I was nominated to be an Office of Undergraduate Research fellow as well; I spent the summer applying computational tools to the Virality of Terror Lab, including text mining/analysis, Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), and digital curatorial work.

I serve as a mentor and advocate for four first-generation/limited-income (FGLI) students. Facilitated the integration of these students by providing a support system that centered on academic insights/guidance and mental health awareness. Continued partnership with these students to ensure academic, and career excellence.

I completed a 100-hour training, which has allowed me the skills to become a trained peer counselor. I take on calls from the general WashU community, in addition to anyone that is able to come across this resource.

I completed an independent research project using Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and R data analysis to create a map to analyze book bannings across 14 counties in Missouri.

An extension to the New American Youth Leadership Council, this fellowship extension focused on growing activism surrounding Asia and Asian/Asian American immigrants with special interests in West Asia/Middle East, South, and Southeast Asain migration/immigrant experiences.

The Annie E. Casey Foundation is known as a watchdog of child poverty in the U.S. However, they work to improve youth wellness on a variety of levels and issue areas. The Young People in Immigrant Families Initiative specifically seeks to serve immigrant youth. The Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Action Research Lab works to investigate racially motivated homicides from the 1900s. Archival research works to center marginalized voices and get justice for those murdered. Specifically, acting as an investigator in a variety of cases, that will work towards a digital artifact in the larger framework of reparations.

As a fellow, I participated in workshops that grew my knowledge of immigrant youth, specific social and legal issues, and workshops that grew my organizing skills. With other fellows, I curated a conference concerning immigrant youth, and did outreach by talking with foundations such as the Colorado Health Organization on the matters of immigrant youth.
