Responsible for a fleet size of around 14,000 assets which includes cars, mechanical handling equipment through to articulated vehicles. Our operation operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and strives to give our customers an amazing service. We are now operating over 3000 electric and other alternative fuelled vehicles nationwide, with more to come (we all need to look after the planet)Operating a fleet of this size incorporates the following key responsibilities:Financial control (over £120m)Compliance - ER founder members 4 x Own Vehicle Maintenance Unit including ATF lanes in each location Network of External R&M Contractors Procurement of Vehicles, design, financial options, string RVs through to disposal of assets Contractual ManagementHealth & Safety IOSH qualified Risk - Accident Management - FNOL / ULRFleet Administration - VED, PCN, Fuel CardsManagement of Fuel (alternative variants) for our Hubs and DepotsProject Management (Lean 6 Sigma) Green policies for Salary Sacrifice and Company cars scheme People Management - apprentices / graduates An approach to inspire, develop and support the team is vital to ensure operational objectives are achieved
