Strategic Project Accountant
CurrentMy role in summary is to establish a robust system for tracking and reporting on the costs and benefits of strategic change projects ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial metrics are in place. This includes engaging in strategic initiatives to project expected costs against budget and track actuals, and track benefits against agreed Business Case targets embedded in the financial plans. Develop and maintain regular reporting and analysis of benefits realised versus business case for all strategic initiatives and projects in the change portfolio, feeding into key governance and reporting requirements. Ensure evidence of benefits provided by Business Owners stands up to scrutiny and can be demonstrated by movements in KPIs/lead indicators identified. Communicate on actual versus expected performance, explain variances in delivery costs and benefit realisation, and highlight emerging risks to achieving the business cases. Collaborate with Business Owners to develop robust business cases for any new strategic change projects, challenging assumptions to ensure robustness and ability to track, and evaluating proposed business cases using financial metrics.
Claims Expense Manager
My key role is to oversee and optimise the claims expenditure by managing and controlling the expense process. Ensuring that all expenses are necessary, valid, and within the company's budgetary guidelines whilst providing insights into performance and policy adherence. This involved making best use of make-up time / banking procedure to support a balanced overall service delivery.• Ensure that all shift patterns were delivered 4 weeks in advance of start date/time.• To manage effective people, processes, including training development, moral and motivation within my own team• Provide support the management team to achieve shift adherence of call centre reps by informing / influencing Leaders to ensure their reps adhered to the set schedules.
