Senior transaction professional with more than 30 years experience in private equity buyouts.David currently focuses on business and financial due diligence, modeling, financing, and negotiations of buyouts as part of Platinum Equity's East Coast (Greenwich CT) deal team, which is generally focused on improving businesses and complicated situations. David has oversight responsibilities for Platinum Equity Portfolio Companies closed by the East Coast deal team and currently sits on the Operating Committee (Platinum Equity's equivalent of a Board of Directors), on United Site Services, ElectroRent Corporation, Hunterstown Power Generation, Husky Injection Molding, Jostens and Oregon Tool. David also sits on the Board of Directors of Custom Truck (NYSE: CTOS) representing Platinum's majority ownership position. David formerly sat on the Operating Committee of the San Diego Union Tribune, Nesco, Fishing Holdings (manufacturer of Ranger Boats), Rec Boat Holdings, Bway, MacTac, Maxim Crane, Blue Line Rental, American Commercial Lines, PAE, Ball Metalpack, and Multi-Color Corporation. Previously, as an adviser, David's experience is principally with Private Equity buyers and sellers, including many of the United States' most prominent mega-funds. Past corporate clients include the Coca Cola Company, BP Amoco Corporation, GlaxoSmithKline, and Imation Corporation.David have taken a generalist industry approach in his career and has significant experience in a broad range of industries, including capital equipment rental, packaging, business services, print media, transportation, consumer products, manufacturing, retail and franchising, construction, gaming, and automotive industries, among others.David has significant experience in buyouts of complicated and distressed businesses. His buyout experience includes transactions in approximately 25 countries, focused in Latin America, Europe and Asia, as well as roll-up strategies, carve out transactions, and multi-national organizations with significant cross border issues. David has significant experience in design and negotiation of complex working capital adjustment mechanisms and other protection mechanisms.
