While at WRA I have:- Conducted and led groups of biologists in nesting bird surveys.- Managed complex long term projects and developed relationships with clients.- Prepaired 401, 404, Individual Permits, and 1602 permits for ACOE, CDFW, and RWQB- Conducted Wetland delineations, and developed wetland delineation reports.- Assisted in the sampling design and implemented light monitoring during dredge projects to monitor light penetration in and around sensitive Eelgrass beds.-Monitored for Pacific Herring during dredging operations.- Conducted rare plant surveys, identifying and mapping populations of state and federally listed endangered species.-Project QSD for several large projects. - Wrote conceptual mitigation plans, conceptual planting plans, fire abatement plans, access control plans, conceptual planting plans, USACE 401 permits, and USACE 404 permits.- Led field crew and adapted new technique for seed bank recovery, enabling project to stay on schedule and budget. during seed bank salvage of federally listed endangered species San Fernando Valley Spine Flower when high winds prevented field crew from collecting seed using pre-established protocol.-Wrote conceptual planting plan using native plants to create defensible barrier/ fence to prevent trespassing on historical site. with culturally important Kumeyayy Indian pictographs located aside housing development near Lake Hodges. This planting plan saved the housing owner money by avoiding need for large chain link fence and preserved the site’s esthetic appeal.-Serves as habitat restoration specialist for two emergency storm drain repair projects for the City of San Diego-Interacts with resource agencies to accomplish mitigation project goals-Performs qualitative and quantitative assessments-Conducts nesting bird survey’s for Least Bell’s Vireo, Burrowing Owl, and Gnat Catcher.-Conducts biological monitoring for construction activities-Samples and test water for biological contaminants-Performs Compensatory Mitigation Reporting to resource agency’s-Uses state of the art GPS technologies for data collection-Identifies California plants -Designed biotechnical erosion control structures-Serves as restoration monitor for construction, seeding, planting, and BMP installation.-Conducts vegetation mapping surveys
