Over his 30+ career, Dave has effectively managed and implemented a wide variety of multi-disciplinary stormwater management, waterfront, higher education, park, and municipal projects. With experience at both "traditional" engineering consulting firms and a multidisciplinary architectural firm, Dave is adept at managing multi-disciplinary teams consisting of specialists in multiple disciplines. In addition, Dave has effectively established long-term relationships with technical and non-technical clients.Dave has specialized experience planning, modeling, and implementing stormwater management projects. He has prepared complex hydrologic and hydraulic models and construction documents for dozens of projects throughout the Midwest over his 25-year career. These projects have varied in scale from site-level Best Management Practice design to municipal and regional-level stormwater management planning, floodplain management, and program development. Through collaboration with a variety of clients in the private and public sectors, Dave has developed a unique understanding of the financial, political, and regulatory challenges that must be overcome to develop practical technical solutions to complex floodplain and stormwater management issues. He effectively assists clients in overcoming these challenges by combining innovative technical approaches with effective communication to gain stakeholder and regulatory support.
