Accountability and responsibility for P&L of Cassis Malaysia and global technology roadmap for Cassis. Cassis was a Singapore startup founded by the same founder as GemPlus (Dr Marc Lassus) and focuses on development of leading edge mobile secure remote provisioning service of contactless payment and transit cards to mobile NFC phones. Cassis partners with chip card suppliers, payment schemes and telcos to develop standards & solutions which was later adopted for Apple and Android Pay by payment schemes. Cassis delivered projects to clients globally in EU Asia USA including a world’s first implementation of remote provision of a Visa payment card to a Nokia handset co-demonstrated with Visa Internationl at the Cartes chip card show in Paris in 2017. This was followed by a world’s first live commercial implementation of mobile NFC payment implementation with a Malaysian bank (Maybank), Telco (Maxis) and Transport stored value (Touch’n Go) in 2018.
