Teaching workshops and running assessment days for a wide range of students, covering Gym Instructor, Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapy courses. This has been a great opportunity for me to stretch my tutoring ability with high level students asking deeper questions about their fields of study and the industry at large. I have also been able to complete more CPD with Future fit, enrolling on my Level 4 Personal Training, Exercise Referral and level 4 Nutrition courses, allowing me to gain even more insight into the way our industry helps the general public achieve goals and the pressures our industry faces.I proudly hold a 4.87 Star ratting from our students with many positive pieces of feedback being given to my managers.

Working face to face and online to assist students to achieve their Personal training diploma and Sports Massage Therapy certificates. This was a challenging role working with a diverse cross section of the community over a 10 week period in classes of 15-30 people. It was my role as tutor to provide both practical and theory elements in a way that everyone could understand and demonstrate this thought coursework and practical application. I would also lead assessment days, ensuring smooth running and high standards.I was able to build rapport with students quickly, enabling me to work better with the students and making them feel comfortable to speak with me about all elements of the course, employment and life in general.

As a Master Trainer I would be responsible for building Rapport with learners to provide a great learning atmosphere and Interactive learning experience for those under my supervision. Working both in the classroom and in the gym environment I would teach Level 2 Fitness Instructor and Level 3 Personal trainer courses to the AIQ standards as well as Kettlebell qualifications. I would also carry out Practical assessments and Invigilate exams. I was responsible for all related course paperwork as well as providing support outside of the classroom for homework assignments.

By creating a warm and welcoming environment, I ensure that every member feels valued and appreciated, enhancing their overall gym experience.One of my most rewarding responsibilities is leading the Personal Training team to exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales targets. By providing ongoing training, motivation, and constructive feedback, I empower my team to deliver outstanding results for our clients and the business. Celebrating their successes is one of the highlights of my role as a manager.Through strategic planning and innovative marketing initiatives, I've played a pivotal role in boosting membership and driving revenue growth. By consistently hitting and exceeding sales targets, I contribute significantly to the overall success and expansion of the gym.Additionally, managing staff rotas efficiently was paramount to maintaining a smooth workflow and exceptional customer service. My strong organizational skills enable me to optimize schedules, ensuring that my team is always available to assist our members.Around these duties I also maintained a personal training client base of 15-20 clients a week.

As the diving program manager I started the Diving school in March 2010 and, building from nothing, gained 100 participants in the space of 4 months. This was achieved through targeted advertising and promotion, both in-house and at local events, with little to no budget. I would track KIP's to make sure the program remained profitable and employed a second coach when it became financially viable. I devised and implemented the teaching syllabus and was responsible for the allocation of pool time and keeping class registers up to date. At the end of each term I would test and promote students and move them to their relevant level of class. This me gave the opportunity to earn move revenue through the sale of badges and certificates.Working as a diving coach I would work with the divers to safely progress their skills for the sport as well as completing their dry land training plan. I would attend competitions with my squad, achieving many podium places over the years. I developed my squad from Novice level competition through to national age group level.

As the pool manager I made significant changes to the established poolside regime, Increasing adhesion to the David Lloyd brand standards and organising the poolside staff in their day to day operations. I introduced a new head count sheet to track footfall so as to enable us to target the busy periods with the safe amount of staff, according to the pool operations manual. I also employed a new trainer to carry out monthly lifeguard training to maintain our qualification as lifeguards. In my time at David Lloyd Southend I achieved a 98% health and safety rating and greatly increasing the customer satisfaction ratings in both cleanliness and service. On occasion I would step up to duty manager, where I would be responsible for the building and the staff on shift, ensuring the smooth running of the facility. This role included cash handling and banking as well as key holding.
