Managed the software quality assurance activities across the BAe Brough site including management of the calibration services based on site.

Established an Airborne Software development capability on the Brough site, including recruitment, training, resourcing, planning and reporting. The team expanded from two to over forty software engineers, including trainees, graduates, mature staff and subcontractors.Responsible for the project management of three European Fighter Aircraft (EFA) mission critical software packages using CORE, HOOD and Ada with adherence to project standards and procedures.Accountable for the subcontract development of Hawk software, including contractual and technical negotiations, supplier management and oversight, vendor work product reviews and approvals. Accountable for the provision of a Hawk Software Quality Management System capable of allowing future in-house Hawk software development.Conducted second party quality assurance audits on a range of suppliers involved in the Hawk and EFA programmes.Responsible for the co-ordination of the Departments capital submissions, budgets, training, software library, recruitment, computing facility and office equipment involving other functional groups, departments and suppliers as necessary.
