Structural technical expert on detailed design for blast resistant buildings and vibration machine foundations. Responsible for technical integrity of 10 engineersSupervised and checked design of up to 10 engineers in one project. Led 3 projects including transmission line detailed design, oil sands upgrader plant design, and ultra-low sulphur diesel plant with scope ranging from 2 million to 500 million. Coordinated project as field engineer at steel fabrication shop, designed structures for compressor and for Coker reactor. - Supervised 10 engineers for detailed design of a ultra low Sulphur diesel plant in seismic zone.- Ensured technical integrity of all work performed by over 50 engineers.- Designed foundations for buildings (administration building, control building, compressor building, substation, water treatment building, pump house, utility building, hazardous storage building, warehouse), static and dynamic equipment (electrical transformer, pumps, compressors, agitators, blowers, burners and coke reactors). - Led design team and geotechnical contractor to investigate and resolve earth stability issues during foundation design. Designed permanent and temporary steel sheet piles for extremely poor geotechnical conditions.- Designed new blast-resistant control buildings and main substations. Upgrade existing non-blast resistant designs to meet new more stringent blasting design requirements. - Performed dynamic analysis and designed piled concrete foundation for 150 ton, 22,130 hp air compressor per German design code. - Checked detailed design of coke reactor and burner steel support structure including fatigue considerations for strong surge forces. The reactor is 37 ft wide, 245 ft tall and supported 68 ft above grade, and the burner is 52 ft wide, 81 ft tall and supported 140 ft above grade.
