• Administer approximately 64 treaty and captive reinsurance programs • Lead a staff of five reinsurance professionals, including three managers• Assist in preparation of Schedule F for Statutory Statements• Perform periodic collateral review for collateralized reinsurer markets• Responsible for recording and settling of over $800M annually ceded premium payments and over $500M in ceded loss recoveries, in multi currencies and across numerous writing entities including Lloyds Syndicate• Perform and review monthly and quarterly close processes, meeting tight corporate deadlines • Set up and review both treaty and facultative contracts in reinsurance system (ProCede) • Provide submission data as well as determining favorable solutions to administer reinsurance contracts• Establish and maintain SOX procedures and controls• Administer and support internal, external and reinsurer audits • Maintain strong broker relationships• Lead and assist with process enhancements related to automation and data sourcing• Manage ceded claims

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end Statutory and GAAP Financial Statements• Prepare Statutory yellow book for filing with NAIC and state insurance departments• Assemble financial reports and filings with A. M. Best (SRQ) and Standard & Poor’s• Work with auditors as they conduct annual audit• Process monthly closing entries• Process all reinsurance cessions for premiums and losses• Supervise staff accountants• File premium and state tax returns• Maintain investment system for investment transactions and reporting (Schedule D)• Review bank reconciliations and daily cash reports• Reconcile and review entries on general ledger to claims system• Prepare presentations for President to present at corporate board of directors, meetings
