Looking for a new challenge in my career I was asked by my superiors to transfer to our fire station 51 on the Universal Studios Hollywood Back lot, after the 2008 studio fire which destroyed the Universal Studios back lot and iconic amusement rides such as the king kong attraction. During my 5 plus years as a captain at our LA Co Fire station 51 on Universal Studios Back lot, I gained invaluable experience in technical rescues and fires involving sound stages, studio facades, amusement park attractions, high rise, all involving large populations of employees and park guests.
