Helped support the health and well-being of the residents, and created programming to facilitate formation of Asian American identity and political consciousness for 70+ residents. Worked with a small group of upperclass students to develop leadership skills and organized a day retreat for them. Served as a research fellow with the U.S. Green Building Council, helping advance their initiatives in building sustainability and climate resilience. Worked on projects for ArcSkoru, a technology company supporting the USGBC, and GRESB, a Dutch-based company that provides environmental, social, and governance (ESG) benchmarks for real assets. For ArcSkoru, I analyzed building consumption data using Excel and R, and I helped develop a new scoring equation for rating building performance and wrote a computer program to use as a tool in tweaking the rating system. For GRESB, I helped assess how comprehensively real estate and infrastructure entities are protected against the risks of climate change, using Excel, R, and ggplot2 to analyze survey data and create visualizations of the results.

Conducted research with a team of six students on landfills and dairy farms in California to understand how methane emitted from these sources is captured and used to generate energy or create materials. Co-authored a report showing the status of the renewable natural gas industry and providing recommendations on policy and to businesses to more effectively utilize this biogas resource moving forward. Presented key findings and recommendations to 10 staffers representing members of the California State Legislature.
