ABF The Soldiers’ Charity “FOR SOLDIERS – FOR LIFE”With a British Army background followed by 35 years in senior management positions both line and operations, the last 9 with WPP Group communication companies Ogilvy and Grey Global Group I have fully retired to devote my time to charity work. I am currently County Chairman for ABF. The Soldiers' Charity. This is a honorary appointment with responsibility for fundraising in Leicestershire & Rutland through a committee of 20 volunteers and co-opted members of the British Army. ABF The Soldiers' Charity is the National Charity of the British Army. It is here for every soldier, veteran and their immediate family- for life.In addition I am also a trustee for both the Leicester & Leicestershire Memorial Homes as well as Vice Chairman of The North Memorial Homes. I am also Committee Member for the Armed Forces Covenant NHS Partnership. I am a Freeman of the City of London and livery man of the Ancient and Worshipful Company of Framework Knitters. In 2019 I was appointed Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of the County of Leicestershire.
