  I was born in Shanghai China on the Christmas Day of 1941, educated in Pui Ching Middle School Hong Kong 1951-1959, B.Sc Electrical Engineering with 1st Class Honors London University 1960-1963, and finished PhD Electrical Engineering London University by scholarship 1963-1966. I spent briefly in University of California, Berkeley for Post Doctorate and worked 2 years in San Francisco Bay Area. I started my family diamond business in Antwerp, the world diamond trading center in 1969 until to date. I started manufacturing in 1980-2004, buying rough (uncut) diamond to polish in my own factory. My office is located in the world oldest diamond exchange, the Diamantclub van Antwerpen establish in 1893. We use the name Gendiat, short for General Diamond Trading Company.There is a peculiar law in Belgium for closing down diamond business that the company must liquidate all inventory. I have been planning for retirement, but my 2 sons, Adrian MD PhD MPH Assistant Professor of Harvard Medical School, and Marvin PhD Electrical Engineering from Imperial College of London University, both doing well in Boston Massachusetts. Meanwhile I am offering my service to client looking for investment quality diamond, taking the advantage of the depressing diamond market.
