Founded Pittsburgh Criminal, DUI and Traffic Ticket Defense firm. Represent clients accused of Crimes Code and Vehicle Code violations in state courts throughout Western Pennsylvania, including Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland Counties.

• Represented clients injured in auto accidents and slip and fall accidents. • Drafted pleadings, assisted with preparation and responses to interrogatories, reviewed discovery, prepared pre-trial motions, compiled proposed jury instructions and verdict slips for use in civil trials. • Conducted depositions of fact witnesses and medical experts in personal injury and Worker’s Compensation cases. • Negotiated with liability, first-party, and UM/UIM insurance adjusters on behalf of clients. Negotiated medical bill and lien reductions with the Center for Medicare Services, the Department of Public Welfare, recovery agencies, and medical practices. • Represented clients charged with criminal offenses in state courts throughout Western Pennsylvania on matters of varying complexity, including: expungement petitions, bond motions, probation/parole violation hearings, preliminary hearings, plea agreements, pre-trial motions and jury/non-jury trials.

• Responsible for the prosecution of approximately 300-400 criminal cases annually, from the pre-trial conference through the date of sentencing, when applicable.• Represented the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as lead counsel for ten jury trials (80% conviction rate), approximately fifty non-jury trials and hundreds of preliminary hearings. Responsibilities included: jury selection, preparing and litigating pre-trial motions, presenting opening and closing arguments, conducting direct and cross-examination of witnesses, and compiling jury instructions.

• Wrote opinions on legal issues arising in civil and criminal cases. Notably: two opinions on issues of first impression in Indiana County - arbitration jurisdiction in a nursing home agreement dispute based upon void and voidable contract provisions and the applicability of DUI license revocation provisions for appellants with vacated ARD dispositions.• Independently discovered and participated in framing a critical legal issue overlooked by attorneys during a coal supply contract dispute case, leading to a mid-trial settlement in excess of one-million dollars.• Prepared factual and legal summaries for use during monthly civil and criminal arguments.• Compiled trial notebooks for use during legal proceedings.

• Conducted legal research and prepared supporting briefs on the following legal issues: landowner liability for slip and fall injuries during wintry conditions under the doctrine of hills and ridges, liability of trucking companies for damaged cargo under the Carmack Amendments, liability for property subsidence based upon well drilling, and related legal issues.

• Provided price quotes to international sales representatives for Central American and Caribbean commerce.
