About David Diamond

As a senior HR executive, I pride myself on being a true strategic business partner to the CEO's, the Board of Directors and the broader executive teams I've worked with as an operating partner as well as a cultural and functional leader. In 2017, I joined CityMD (later Summit CityMD) on the heels of a Warburg Pincus investment when we had 55 locations and about 1,500 employees. I led all HR functions (and payroll) through the hyper growth of the next 5 1/2 years as we grew profitably to 13,000 employees prior to being acquired by VillageMD for $8.9 billion on January 3, 2023. We now have over 700 locations and 20,000 employees while I oversee the HR integration before moving on in May. Prior to Summit CityMD, as Chief HR Officer, I was involved in the merger of 2 public companies, their subsequent reorganizations and the entire process of taking a company public. I have led the HR function at several companies during years of fast growth and also overseen the divestiture of divisions and unfortunately been a key employee throughout a Chapter 11 process in my past. Just prior to Summit Health, I was part of a senior leadership team that successfully restructured a company leading to it's sale to strategic partners in the US (Dick's Sporting Goods) and Canada.My experiences are broad and valuable, but my specialties are as an HR leader, operator and partner for an organization focused on positive internal cultural evolution, talent acquisition, talent management and retention, focused on growth and operational excellence.
