About David Eggleton
David is interested in the application of management concepts to the scientific and technological challenges of our day. David has recently concluded his PhD at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the University of Sussex investigating megaprojects, using very large scientific projects as case studies to develop new theories. This required fieldwork at CERN (European Organisation for Nuclear Research) in Switzerland and at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in the United States.David Eggleton received his initial education in Physics with Management at King's College London before achieving an MSc in Physics at the University of Sussex within the Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics group.

I was extremely fortunate to be granted exceptional access to restricted sections of the CERN Archives and to interview individuals associated with LHC, ATLAS and CMS. I received permission to tour the LHC and to see the machine to which I have dedicated five years of my life. This was an incredible experience and one of the greatest periods of my working life.
